The International Union of Radiologists (IUOIR) is a non-profit association of radiologists from around the world
The International Union of Interventional Radiologists (IUOIR) is a non-profit association of radiologists from around the world
The IUOIR is the result of an idea that emerged from a meeting of North American and European interventional radiologists at the RSNA 2008 conference. The scientific discussions at various occasions during this conference highlighted the enormous need for a global organisation with the mission of transferring expertise and sharing best practice in this valuable subspecialty.
Thanks to IUOIR, expert radiologists travel around the world in the framework of different actions
Thanks to IUOIR, expert radiologists travel all over the world to perform different actions (Vertebroplasty, gastrostomy, embolisation....etc) for local organisations and contribute to the training of local radiologists.
It is time for radiologists to join the "Doctors without Borders" train, to help people in their own country and even beyond their borders.
Thanks to IUOIR, expert radiologists can travel anywhere in the world, performing different manoeuvres
The IUOIR has intervened in Vietnam and North Africa on several occasions with the participation of Prof. Alain Weill-Canada, Dr. H. Padlocks Denisse (USA), Prof. Marco Leonardi (Italy), Dr. Masahiro Horikawa (USA) and Dr. M. Kilani (France).
