Who are we?
The International Union of Radiologists (IUOIR) is a non-profit association of radiologists from around the world.

The International Union of Interventional Radiologists (IUOIR) is a non-profit association of radiologists from around the world.
IUOIR emerged from an idea that arose during a meeting of North American and European interventional radiologists at the RSNA 2008 congress. Scientific discussions on several occasions during this conference highlighted the immense need for a global organization with the mission of transferring expertise and sharing best practices in this valuable subspecialty.
The IUOIR aims to bring together experts from around the world to carry out concrete medical cooperation initiatives:
Performing specialized procedures such as vertebroplasty, gastrostomy, and embolization, while training local radiologists within partner healthcare institutions. This initiative reflects the spirit of “Radiologists Without Borders” — an invitation to radiologists everywhere to place their expertise at the service of communities, both within their own countries and beyond their borders.
